Understood as a democratic medium, video offers a vehicle to explore a multiplicity of possibilities. Using an economy of means, MEANTIME presented an exhibition of artists’ videos which suggested a negotiation of role, identity and/or representation through complex fictions and characterisations, from cinematic constructions to filmed performance and documented actions.
